Swing Left Monterey Peninsula GOTV Letter-writing Parties
This summer, let’s ALL get involved at the grassroots level to help make Democrats the majority in the key races mentioned above. Letter writing has been shown to be more effective than phone banking or postcards for getting out the vote.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we are writing letters from home and can help you get get on board with this activity. Please contact us at swingleftmp@gmail.com.
We write letters for several purposes:
- Encourage voter registration: Partially completed letters and voter registration forms are included in what we provide; we make it SO easy for you AND them to finish the job. Their return postage is even already paid for! We hand address the envelope and add a statement to the letter of why WE believe it is important to vote.

Preparing ‘Get Out the Vote’ (GOTV) letters for the Nov 3rd election: Swing Left will be mailing 10 million letters with reminders to vote just before the Nov 3rd election. That is a LOT of letters so we are starting early to get them ready.
- Helping with key state elections: Several key state elections may help flip state legislatures and prevent Republican gerrymandering after the 2020 census.
